DTN MORNING COMMENTS: It will likely be a quiet Monday morning with both
buyers and sellers busy taking inventory and watching for any fallout from
the reports Friday afternoon about Tyson closing their plant in Lexington,
Nebraska and the reduction of capacity at the Amarillo, Texas plant to just
one shift a day. Bids and asking prices have yet to be established, and
significant trade volume will likely be delayed until Wednesday or possibly
after the Thanksgiving holiday. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with
light box movement.
